## 1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how **[legal name of the app publisher]** (“ChurchPlanner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the ChurchPlanner application and related services (the “App”).

ChurchPlanner helps churches and other organizations coordinate calendars, events, and volunteer or staff schedules. The organization that invited you to use the App (“your Organization”) may decide what information it enters and how it uses that information. In many cases, your Organization is responsible for that information, and ChurchPlanner processes it to provide the service. Contact your Organization for questions about its use of your information; you may also contact us using the details in Section 12.

## 2. Information we handle

The information we handle depends on how you and your Organization use the App. It may include:

- **Account information**, such as your name, email address, sign-in credentials, and account settings.

- **Organization and scheduling information**, such as your Organization, calendar or ministry team, event assignments, availability, and schedule preferences.

- **Information you provide**, such as details you enter into the App or send to us when requesting support.

- **Technical and service information**, such as connection logs, the time of a request, app or operating-system version, and diagnostic information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the App unless your Organization has instructed you to do so and it is needed for its use of ChurchPlanner.

The current app requests network access to connect to ChurchPlanner services. It does not request location permission. We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location through the App.

## 3. How we use information

We use information as needed to:

- Create and authenticate accounts.

- Provide the App’s calendars, events, and scheduling features.

- Show relevant schedules and assignments to you and authorized users in your Organization.

- Send service-related messages, such as account or schedule notifications, where enabled.

- Respond to support requests.

- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the App and its services.

- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Your Organization may use information available through its account to coordinate its activities and manage its schedules.

## 4. Religious or other sensitive information

Using ChurchPlanner for a religious organization may reveal a person’s association with that Organization or participation in its activities. We handle this information to provide the service and as directed by the Organization. Organizations should only provide information they are authorized to share and should limit it to what is appropriate for their use of ChurchPlanner.

## 5. When information is shared

We may make information available:

- **To your Organization:** Authorized administrators and other users may see account or scheduling information relevant to their role and the Organization’s settings.

- **To service providers:** Companies that help us host, maintain, secure, or support ChurchPlanner may process information on our behalf. They may use it only as necessary to provide services to us.

- **For legal and safety reasons:** When we believe disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of ChurchPlanner, users, or others.

- **In a business transaction:** If ChurchPlanner is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

## 6. Data retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain Organization records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary by the type of information and the Organization’s settings or instructions.

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information by **[describe the actual in-app deletion steps or provide the account-deletion webpage]**. If you cannot use that method, contact us at **[privacy/contact email]**. You may also need to contact your Organization, which may control information it entered or needs to retain. Some information may remain where retention is legally required or otherwise permitted.

## 7. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information handled through ChurchPlanner. No online service can guarantee perfect security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact **[security/contact email]**.

## 8. Children

The App is intended for adult volunteers, staff, and administrators, not for children to create or use their own accounts. If an Organization uses ChurchPlanner to coordinate activities involving children, it should avoid entering children’s personal information unless necessary and legally authorized. Contact us if you believe a child’s information was provided to us improperly.

## 9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at **[privacy/contact email]**. We may refer requests about information controlled by your Organization to that Organization.

If you are in California or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.

## 10. International processing

ChurchPlanner and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

## 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ChurchPlanner changes or as required by law. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify users of material changes. The revised policy applies from its stated effective date.
